Following are the combinations for doing business in Jyotish:-
- Preliminary condition is to see the position of 10th Lord in both Lagna chart and D-10 chart. If 10th lord is placed in 8th, 12th, 3rd, 5th, 9th and 7th house. This is a favourable condition for doing business but not the only necessary one.

- Influence of Saturn, Mercury and Rahu on the 10th and Lagna Lord is favourable for self employment.
- Venus and Mercury conjunction is also good for entrepreneurship.
- 10th Lord of Lagna chart is placed in 3rd, 7th and 11th house in the D-10 chart.
- More dhan yogas should be there than Rajyogas in Lagna chart, D-9 chart and D-10 chart.
- All these combinations must be seen in D-10 chart also.
